Oregon made it into the second round of the Health Information Exchange (HIE) application process and is anticipating it will receive $8.58 million for the development of a statewide HIE. Overall, HITECH allocates $564 million to states for the development of HIE. The money comes from the HITECH Act and is managed at the federal level by the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC).
The field is alive with funding and opportunities, many of which are listed on Oregon's HITOC page under the "Federal Funding Opportunities" heading.
