US House Bill HR 3124 IH was introduced in an effort to award competitive grants to eligible safety-net health care providers to enable such providers to fully implement VistA or RPMS. Eligible organizations include "public or nonprofit health care providers" which are identified as:
• post-secondary schools
• community health centers
• local health departments
• free clinics
• and more...
Grant funds go towards installing and maintaining VistA and/or RPMS in facilities that use the systems in ways that meet the upcoming "meaningful use" definition(s).
