OREGON HEALTH POLICY BOARD ESTABLISHED

Effective June 26th of this year the newly established Oregon Health Policy Board was given reign over the Oregon Health Authority which would include the Oregon Health Insurance Exchange. Board members are selected to 4-year terms by the governor. Another responsibility of the board which may have impact on the HIT community is that it is charged with health care workforce development. Calls for nomination are now open until August 7, 2009.
